Michael Farrell, RIP

Michael C. Farrell, TCRG of Freehold, N.Y. passed away on April 25, 2024. 

 

He was born in Queens, NY, and is the son of Phyllis (Fee)Farrell and the late Thomas Farrell. 

Besides his father, he is predeceased by his sister Eileen Farrell-Duggan. 

 

Besides his mother, Michael is survived by his loving wife of thirty years Jeanne Farrell, his two daughters Bridget Marie Farrell and Meghan Eileen Bolduc and her husband Casey, his two sisters Linda Sanfilippo, ADCRG and her husband Richard and Donna Varous and her husband Peter, and his two brothers Thomas Farrell and his wife Marie and John Farrell and his wife Suzanne. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers-in-law Barbara and Anthony D’Angelo, James Meade (wife Kathleen predeceased) and CMDR Richard Meade and his wife Kathleen, and many nieces and nephews. 

Michael had a personality that possessed warmth, passion and kindness in the twinkle of his eyes. 

His chosen path was to teach Irish Step Dancing at his business Farrell School of Irish Dance located in East Durham, N.Y. where he just celebrated this year fifty years of teaching. He possessed great love teaching dance, hosting and participating in St. Patrick’s Day Parades and celebrations. 

Michael was a member of The Knights of Columbus and also The Ancient Order of Hibernians.  

Besides teaching Irish dance, Michael, along with his wife Jeanne, were regular Feis vendors in the Mid-Atlantic for many years.  Michael will be sorely missed by all of us here in the Region.
