Oireachtas Committee

An Coiste Oireachtaisí is responsible for organising 2 major events in the annual Irish Dancing calendar, i.e. Oireachtas Rince na hEireann (The All-Ireland Irish Dancing Championships) and Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne (The World Irish dancing Championships). 

This work involves the preparation and publication of the relevant syllabi and the listing of the competition rules as well as the detailed planning for each championship, to include the receipt of entries, the scheduling, the management of each days competitions, the delivery of results, the presentation of awards, and more - all the time working within the budgets laid down by the Council of Management.
